Nerve of Peace

Drawn from the call in James 5:14-15 — “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.” 

This extra-strength salve is prepared in small batches with prayer, using carefully selected natural ingredients.

Ingredients:

Yanhusuo (Corydalis yanhusuo) — the dried tuber of a flowering plant in the poppy family, traditionally used in Chinese herbal practice. It has an earthy, slightly bitter character and is included as part of this blend.

St. John’s Wort (Hypericum Perforatum): A flowering herb traditionally used in herbal preparations. The oil is typically deep red and has a mild, earthy aroma.

Arnica (Arnica Montana): A mountain flower long used in topical herbal traditions. The infused oil has a characteristic herbal scent.

Willow bark (Salix species): Bark from the willow tree, historically prepared as an infused oil. It carries a mild, woody-herbal character.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia): Distilled from the flowers; known for its soft, floral, and calming aromatic profile.

Frankincense (Boswellia species): Resin oil with a warm, resinous, slightly spicy scent.

Myrrh (Commiphora Myrrha): Resin oil with a deep, earthy, slightly bitter aroma

Birch (Betula species): Distilled from the bark or twigs; has a sharp, wintergreen-like scent.

Peppermint (Mentha piperita): Leaf oil with a strong, cooling, minty aroma.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale): Root oil with a warm, spicy, slightly sharp fragrance.

Directions:

Apply a small amount of Nerve of Peace (Extra Strength) to clean skin on the neck, shoulders, back, wrists, or other areas of the body where comfort is desired. Gently massage until the salve is fully absorbed.

Warnings

This product contains willow bark, which naturally provides Salicin (a compound related to salicylates). Birch essential oil may also contribute methyl salicylate.

If you are taking medication — especially blood thinners, aspirin, or other salicylate-containing drugs — consult a qualified healthcare professional before use. Topical salicylates can be absorbed through the skin and may interact with certain medications.

Additional cautions:

Keep out of reach of children. Not for use on children.

Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and broken skin.

Discontinue use immediately if skin irritation, redness, rash, or any adverse reaction occurs and consult a healthcare professional.

Do not use if you are pregnant, nursing, or have a known sensitivity to salicylates or any of the listed ingredients, unless advised by a healthcare professional.
