A Biblical Description for Your Rest & Peace Blend

In the beginning the Lord God formed the earth and filled it with every herb that yields seed, appointing them for the healing of the body and the quieting of the soul. He who neither slumbers nor sleeps still gives His beloved rest, that we might lie down in peace and rise again in strength.

From His garden of mercy come these five gifts, blended as a cup of stillness:

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) — the deep-rooted herb whose earthy virtue has long been trusted to still the racing mind and invite the sleep that the Lord Himself gives, even as He makes His beloved dwell in safety.

Spearmint (Mentha spicata) — the gentler mint of the field, whose cool, sweet breath refreshes without overpowering, recalling the mint that was tithed even in its smallest leaf and the living water that restores the weary.

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) — the bright, lemon-scented balm that lifts the spirit and soothes the heart, a cheerful medicine from the mint family, reminding us that a glad heart is good for the soul.

Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) — the humble, hooded herb of the meadows, whose quiet strength has been gathered to calm the anxious thoughts and ease the overwrought nerves, as the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
